About this tool

Password resilience (cryptographic entropy) relies on overall length, character variance, and unpredictability. Cracking algorithms anticipate common patterns and can process millions of combinations per second, easily compromising simple passwords.

This Password Strength Checker performs a heuristic analysis on text to determine its resistance against brute-force attacks. The engine evaluates length, uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols, while scanning for sequential patterns or dictionary words. Based on this computation, the tool provides a theoretical 'time to crack' metric—an estimate of how long a computing cluster would take to guess the password by brute force. Disclaimer: The crack time is a mathematical estimation based on current hardware capabilities and attack models. This tool is free to use and requires no registration.

The entire password evaluation algorithm executes strictly client-side within the browser. Input strings are not transmitted to external servers, ensuring the data remains confidential during testing.
